Undercover Hoof Care Paste
$14.90
The hoof protection under iron, plate, silicone.
KERALIT undercover is a solid hoof care paste with good adhesion, consisting of herbal spices such as turmeric, highly dispersed mineral substances as well as bark extracts of various tree species, e.g. oak bark. The base of the ointment used ensures that the active ingredients are released evenly over 7 – 8 weeks. Keralit undercover can be used especially for the prevention and treatment of horn decomposition in the white line, sole, bar and frog areas. Also for horn pillars and hollow walls. Keralit undercover releases active substances that inhibit decay throughout the entire period the horse is shod, especially when moisture gets under the shoe from the outside, e.g. from washing the hooves or from the bedding. The use of KERALIT undercover changes the environment under the shoe and silicone during the shoeing period in such a way that decomposition processes caused by ammonia or micro-organisms can no longer form, foul-smelling decay is prevented and the horn is safely stabilised. Keralit undercover does not contain iodoform or copper compounds.
Application: Keralit undercover is simply smeared to the cavities after trimming and the removal of rotten horn tissue. When shoeing with plates and silicone inlays, the sole and the frog can be coated with Keralit undercover. The rest of the shoeing work is done as usual.
KERALIT undercover is also used to prevent and treat horn decomposition in the frog area. It is particularly suitable for horses kept in open stables or paddocks, as it remains in the frog area for several days and adheres to the frog area even in wet weather. Daily treatment is therefore not necessary.
Safety advice: Causes skin irritation, severe eye irritation. In case of contact with skin, wash with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water. Keep out of the reach of children. Use externally on horn/hooves only.
